Slovak young intermedia art group CLUSTER ENSEMBLE will bring their unique take on contemporary music to New York. As part of their autumn tour 3 Things, Cluster ensemble will perform Philip Glass’s Music with Changing PartsThis iconic piece was half-forgotten even by the composer himself and will be played in New York for the first time in decades.

Come see our children sing and dance at the annual Saint Martin Celebration held at the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Astoria, NY on Sunday, November 19, 2017. You can also enjoy traditional Czech and Slovak dishes and Jozef Jurasi's band Kontakty. Entrance Fee is $5 to support the Czech and Slovak catholic community in Astoria, NY. Annual raffle with abundance of wonderful prizes! Registration for this event is not required.

Consulate General of Slovakia is part of a Theater Festival "Rehearsal for Truth". The Festival, honoring Vaclav Havel, will present the best in Central European theater. The festival consists of four theater productions from Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia and also two panel discussions. Rehearsal for Truth is organized by Vaclav Havel Library Foundation and other partners.NÁVŠTEVA EXPERTOV/ THE EXPERTS VISITING is a production from Slovakia by Studio 12. Apple picking event for Czech and Slovak families from the tri-state area. Dear Parents and Children,

Welcome back from your summer vacation! The Czech and Slovak Language program for children and youth will open on Friday,  September 15 and Saturday, September 16, 2017. Children who have been assigned to Friday School will attend classes from 5-7:30PM. Saturday Morning School will be held from 9:30AM-12PM and Saturday Afternoon School's schedule will be from 12-2:30PM. Please note, that Limboracik's dance classes will follow after the language lessons from 7:30PM on Friday and 12:15PM on Saturday. All classes will take place at Bohemian Hall. Looking forward to seeing you all!

 

 Jazykový program českého jazyka pro děti a mládež hledá učitele českého jazyka. Vyučujeme děti od 5-18 let. Pracovní úvazek pouze na několik hodin týdně, konkurenční plat. Podmínky pro přijetí: znalost českého jazyka-rodilý mluvčí, vysokoškolské vzdělání s pedagogickým zaměřením; hudební obor nebo znalost hry na hudební nástroj jsou preferovány, ale nejsou podmínkou; americké občanství/trvalý pobyt v USA; americké pracovní povolení.
